This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website, how we use and share it, and what choices and rights you have. In this Privacy Policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the booking service that operates this website.

This is an independent online booking website. It is not the official website of any hotel or other accommodation, and it is not affiliated with any property. Bookings are fulfilled by partner booking services (for example Priceline, Booking.com or another partner), and the accommodation provider is responsible for the stay.

Information we collect

  • Information you give us: your name, e-mail address and telephone number, and, where a booking or request needs it, your address; the booking details (dates, guests, room and any special requests); and the messages you send us, for example through the contact form.
  • Information collected automatically: technical information about your device and browser, your IP address, the pages and properties you view and how you use the website. Some of this is collected with cookies (see below).
  • Bookings for another person: if you book for someone else, you confirm that you may give us their information for that booking.

You can choose not to give certain information, but then you may not be able to make a booking or use some features.

How we use information

  • to make and manage your booking, pass it to the partner that fulfils it, and send you confirmations and updates about it;
  • to answer your questions and requests;
  • to provide the sign-in and booking-management features, if you use them;
  • to send you a reminder e-mail if you start a booking and do not finish it, or if you set up a price alert, and to send newsletters or offers if you subscribe. Every such e-mail contains an unsubscribe link;
  • to keep the website secure, prevent fraud and misuse, and resolve disputes;
  • to understand how the website is used and to improve it;
  • to meet our legal obligations.

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on performing your booking, our legitimate interests in running and securing the website, our legal obligations, and your consent (for example for optional cookies and for subscriptions).

Who we share information with

  • The partner booking service and the accommodation provider that fulfil your booking. They receive the details needed to make and manage the stay, and they handle that information under their own privacy policies.
  • Payment providers that process your payment.
  • Service providers that work for us, such as hosting, e-mail delivery and security services. They may use the information only to provide their service to us.
  • Authorities and advisers when the law requires it, to respond to a lawful request, to protect our rights, or to investigate fraud or other illegal activity.
  • A successor if our business is merged, sold or reorganised.

We do not sell your personal information. Information may be processed in countries other than your own, including by our partners and service providers.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Essential cookies keep the website working, for example to remember your session and your choices. Other cookies, such as those used for analytics or marketing, are used only as you allow in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with the “Your privacy choices” link in the footer, and you can also set your browser to refuse cookies, although parts of the website may then not work.

Third-party companies whose content or tools appear on the website may set their own cookies. We do not control them, and their practices are covered by their own policies.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including to provide your booking, to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, and to resolve disputes. After that we delete it or make it anonymous.

Security

We use encrypted connections (TLS) to transmit information, and we limit access to the information we hold. This website does not store full card numbers, expiry dates or security codes. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights. We apply them to every customer where we reasonably can.

  • Access: to ask whether we hold personal information about you and to receive a copy of it (in California, the right to know the categories and specific pieces of information we have collected, and why).
  • Correction: to have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected.
  • Deletion: to ask us to delete your personal information. We may need to keep some of it, for example to meet legal obligations or to resolve a dispute.
  • Objection and restriction: to object to our use of your information based on our legitimate interests or for direct marketing, and to ask us to restrict its use in certain cases.
  • Portability: to receive information you gave us in a commonly used format, where the law provides this right.
  • Withdrawing consent: to withdraw a consent you gave, for example for cookies or subscriptions, at any time. This does not affect what we did before.
  • No sale and no discrimination: we do not sell personal information, and we will not treat you differently for using your rights.
  • Complaint: to complain to your local data protection authority.

To use any of these rights, contact us through our Contact page, say which right you want to use, and give the e-mail address used for your booking so that we can check it is you. An authorised agent may make a request for you with your permission. We will answer within the time the law requires. A booking is also held by the partner booking service and the accommodation provider, so for those records your request may also need to go to them, and we will tell you where we can.

You can unsubscribe from reminder e-mails and newsletters at any time with the unsubscribe link in each e-mail.

Children

Bookings can be made only by adults (18 or older). This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us through our Contact page and we will remove it.

Other websites

This website may link to or hand you over to the websites of partners and other third parties. We do not control those websites, so please read their privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last updated, and changes take effect when they are published on this page.
